If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking the time to be here. Planning an engagement or even imagining one is a meaningful pause in the middle of life, and I don’t take that lightly.
I’m Kat, the photographer and guide behind Owl Eye Photography. I guide experiences from having lived them.
I’ve been the bride who planned the engagement, the elopement, and the wedding. I know the excitement, the overwhelm, the dreaming, and the quiet moments where you ask yourself, How do I make this feel like us?
My husband Cam is my grounding force, steady and deeply present. Together, we chose intention over expectation. Our engagement, vows, and celebrations weren’t traditional; they were honest. We stripped things back to what mattered, moved through the mountains, the water, the sunrise, and let our story unfold naturally.
That lived experience is why I design sessions that feel real, not performative.
I live the same way I guide my work, seasonally, curiously, and with respect for the land. I continue to elevate my craft through guiding courses, backcountry travel, and time spent outdoors, because I believe you can’t guide someone into an experience you haven’t embodied yourself.
At home, life is simple and full. We share it with two cats: Mue, our adventure companion, and Momo, our cozy homebody. Even in the small details, we choose presence, care, and connection.
My role is simple: to help you create an experience that reflects your life, your love, and the moments that matter most and to hold that space with care from start to finish.
